Since 2012 Tennis Canterbury have organised the Wilding Challenge.  This competition is for players in the 10u and 12u age groups with matches being played indoors at Wilding Park each Sunday throughout the winter terms.

Individuals must enter via the https://tnz.tournamentsoftware.com/tournament/CA120A9E-6397-47A8-A100-658A17FBA2D0 website and teams of 3 will be formed by Tennis Canterbury on fair ability; this allows for all matches to be meaningful.

This concept aims to offer young players more competition in a fun, team-focused environment, fostering social connections and enhancing coaching opportunities.

All matches are played indoors at Wilding Park.

Term 2 2025 Dates:

1 - Sunday 4th May

2 - Sunday 11th May

3 - Sunday 18th May

4 - Sunday 25th May

5 - Sunday 8th June

6 - Sunday 15th June

• Each team consits of 3 players - each player receiving 2 matches within a 2 hour blovk​

  • 1 player plays 2 doubles, 2 players play 1 singles and 1 doubles per weekly round ​

• All matches are 2 sets to 4 games, with a tiebreak to 7 points if 4 games each. If 1 set all, a 10 point tiebreak is played (win by 2 points)

  • Short deuce in ALL matches​

  • Any incomplete matches will not count towards MatchHub points
